Are you looking for a diagnostic, unofficial Appraisal?

When an organization is looking for a starting pint for a process improvement initiative, Alcyonix offers an unofficial appraisal ("gap analysis").

The approach is more flexible than a SCAMPI C, B, or A class appraisal, but is not registered with the SEI and does not provide any official, recognized results. However, the outputs of the exercise are useful to compare with organization with the CMMI model practices and provide useful input to a process improvement plan.

If your organization is looking to improve the performance of a specific project or practices within a specific process area, Alcyonix offers a targeted mini-appraisal focusing on a single project, process area and associated practices.

This approach is very flexible but doesn't result in an official rating. However, the results are useful to an organization seeking to improve a subset of current practices using a proven model based approach.
