Richard Basque (36 years experience) founded Alcyonix in 1998, now member of SQLI Group since 2007.
He is an SEI Certified Lead Appraiser for the SCAMPI (Class A, B, C and High Maturity) and an SEI
Certified Instructor for the CMMI V1.2. As a part-time SEI "Visiting Scientist", he is occasionally
invited by the SEI to train or observe (as part of their authorization process) candidate SCAMPI
Lead Appraisers or candidate CMMI Instructors. Richard has been involved in numerous official
process evaluations in Canada, the United States, Europe and South America. He published the first
book in French on CMMI with DUNOD, the prestigious French publisher. The book was very successful
bringing about a 2nd edition in 2006 and a 3rd edition expected in November 2009. Richard published
a 2nd book (A CMMI « Aide-mémoire ») in 2008 and a 3rd one in 2009 on the implementation of CMMI.
In parallel with his books, he moderates a French forum to discuss CMMI (Yahoo Group of a few hundred participants).
Richard is now Director of Strategy for all of Alcyonix
within the SQLI Group.

Denis St-Pierre (23 years of experience, 12 in consulting) is an SEI
Certified Lead Appraiser for SCAMPI
(Class A, B, C and High Maturity) for CMMI-DEV v1.2 and
CMMI-SVC (CMMI for Services). He is also an SEI
Certified Instructor for CMMI-DEV 1.2 and CMMI-SVC
(Services Supplement for CMMI v1.2). He is a well-known expert of software
measurements and processes. Denis has been involved in approximately 25 process assessments in Canada, the
United States and in Europe. He has accomplished many process improvement projects in Europe, North America and
Australia. He recently coached (leading process definition workshops, conducting process asset reviews, and
process improvement planning…) an organization in its achievement of CMMI Maturity Level 2 in six months; the
average duration according to the SEI is about 2 years. Denis is also the process
improvement lead of Alcyonix internal processes. He has
significantly contributed to several international
software engineering and measurement standards.

Daniel Henry (16 years experience) is an SEI
Certified SCAMPI A, B, C and High Maturity
Lead Appraiser for CMMI-DEV v1.2 and CMMI-ACQ. He is
also a SEI Certified Instructor for CMMI-DEV v1.2 and
for CMMI-ACQ (Acquisition Supplement for CMMI-DEV 1.2). He also
collaborated with the SEI on the Handbook for Conducting
Standard CMMI Appraisal Method for Process Improvement
(SCAMPI) B and C Appraisals and was most recently a team
member on the first SCAMPI A appraisal with a beta
release of CMMI version 1.2. Dan has lead 20 SCAMPI
Class A appraisals to date in multiple domains (e.g.
finance, aerospace, IT services) covering both Systems
and Software, using both Representations (staged and
continuous), including a high maturity appraisal in
France. He continues to support organizations across
the globe to improve their performance by leading process
definition workshops, conducting process asset reviews,
and process improvement planning. Dan was also Software
Development Process Group Leader from 2000 to 2003 for
the Motorola Canada Software Center (MCSC) in Montreal:
the first organization in Canada to report SW-CMM Level
5 rating to the SEI following a registered CBA-IPI
assessment in December, 2001. He also managed the
software centre's transition to CMMI in 2003. Formally a
lead appraiser while at Motorola, he was privileged to
travel to Argentina, China, Mexico, Russia, and the USA
for multiple MSA and CBA-IPI assessments.

Frédérick Lussier (15 years experience) is a SEI
certified PSP developer and an SEI authorized instructor
for TSPms/PSPms
(Team Software Process/Personal Software Process). Before recently joining Alcyonix, Frédérick worked as a quality assurance manager
and team leader in many organizations like Silverrun,
BaaN (Berclain), Amadeus Solutions, Pocatec and EXFO. He
was a Personal Software Process (PSP) instructor at BaaN
where he coached several software development teams. In
2002, he coached Pocatec on the deployment of the CMM
and helped them achieve a SW-CMM level 2 rating
following a Software Capability Evaluation (SCE).
Frederick has managed several groups in charge of
requirements development, quality assurance,
verification and validation (V&V), measurements, and
configuration management. Using CMMI, he defined,
improved and established practices and measurements to
increase the product quality in multiple domains (like :
software development and system engineering). Frederick
has given and continues to give several training courses
in quality control, quality assurance, and software
metrics for the Computer Science and Software
Engineering Department of Laval University. |

Gilles Charron

Gilles Charron has acquired 28 years of experience,
counting 12 in Project and Portfolio Management
methodologies and 8 in Process Improvement and Project
Management teaching at the university level in Montreal.
He has been a member of many SCAMPI A CMMI Dev Version
1.2 teams at Level 2 and Level 3. In addition to being
a Process Improvement advisor, Gilles is specialized as
advisor in Process Development support and training for
organizations implementing CMMI Dev Version 1.2 and P-CMM
Version 2. He is also advisor for the CMMI–SVC
constellation and People CMM model. Finally, Gilles is certified PMP (Project Management Professional) from PMI (Project
Management Institute) and has a Master's Degree in Project
Management from the Université du Québec à Montréal
(UQAM).

Antoine is an
SEI Certified CMMI instructor and a SEI Certified SCAMPI (Class A, B
and C) Lead Appraiser.
Antoine is from Toulouse and is a computer scientist
with more than 15 years of experience in software
engineering and 14 years in process improvement. He
resided in Quebec for several years where, under the
tutelage of Richard Basque, then at CRIM/CGLA, he
developed his SW-CMM knowledge. He worked in Canada and
in France, first as an independent consultant and later
with Qualium. He founded Alcyonix France in January
2005. Antoine is Director of the Expertise Department of
Alcyonix, SQLI Group.

Alain has 30 years of experience in software and systems engineering, half of this
time for Astrium, in the aerospace industry. He participated in both the Concerto and the
HSDE (Hermes Software Development Environment, a software environment for the European
spacecraft) project workshops. He worked for 15 months at the European Software Institute
in Bilbao before returning to Toulouse where he managed the software configuration management
service where a process improvement plan was performed. He has also participated in SEPGf or
ground systems (engineering processes) and embedded software (as a SEPG Leader). In 2003,
Alain created IRIMI Software providing process improvement and systems engineering services.
Alain is from the south-west (Armagnacais) and is a software engineer by trade. He joined
Alcyonix France in January 2005. He was
accredited as a SEI certified CMMI instructor in July
2008.

Yohan has 12 years of experience
including 6 years as software engineer and project
leader, essentially for automotive and railway embedded
software. Yohan has acquired his technical experience in
a company which operates at the SW-CMM maturity level 4
with the Cleanroom methodology. For 6 years, he
performed assistance missions for SEPG (CMM & CMMI level
3) and process appraisals (CMM, CMMI and ISO/IEC 15504).
Since August 2008, he is certified
by the SEI to perform SCAMPI A appraisals as “Lead
Appraiser”.
Yohan is from the South-West of
France (Périgord). He obtained his Master-Engineer
degree at the IUP of Bordeaux. Yohan joined Alcyonix in
May 2006.

Jean-Emmanuel is a consultant for process definition, deployment, assessment and quality management frameworks implementation based on
CMM/CMMI and ISO/IEC 15504 models.
He performs CMM/CMMI and ISO/IEC 15504 assessments for IT departments
and technical product oriented businesses by assisting
them in defining, deploying and improving software and
system engineering processes. His experience is based on
international standards or recognized frameworks.
He was responsible for the deployment of the CMM-Cleanroom
methodology in an organization developing embedded
software for the automotive industry. Since August 2008,
Jean-Emmanuel is certified by the SEI to perform SCAMPI
A, B & C appraisals as “Lead Appraiser”. He is from the
south of France (Languedoc-Rousillon) and holds an
Engineer Degree in MicroElectronics and Robotics from
the ISIM (Engineering School) of Montpellier. He joined
Alcyonix France in April 2007.

Christian has 24 years experience in software engineering. He has taken part in several mandates
as a process improvement consultant for major French customers and is involved in process deployment
for SQLI as a Quality Assurance engineer and as a member of the Improvement Committee. He has acted as
Head of SEPG at CSEE Transport where he led the Development Direction at CMMI Level 2 and ISO 9001-2000
certification. Christian worked as an Object Consultant at Aonix acquiring experience in training staff
for object technologies (UML, MDA, CORBA-RT). He was responsible for the deployment of the project management
process and tool at Dassault Date Services and trained project managers. He became Head of the Technical Business Unit,
after being Project Manager and Programmer in C/C++, Ada
and Pascal languages. Christian is a graduate of
École Centrale de Marseille, previously known as École Nationale Supérieure de Physique de Marseille.

Olivier (23
years experience) joined Alcyonix France in the spring
of 2008. His recent experience includes realizing
multiple CMMI related mandates such as Gap Analyses,
SCAMPI A evaluations, defining Process Improvement plans
as well as supporting organizations in the development
and deployment of CMMI practices. He has worked with
organizations in various sectors but particularly those
in the banking and insurance sectors (14 years
experience) and as a project manager, he participated in
software editing. Olivier is also an instructor and has
animated many training sessions and workshops in various
fields such as governance (Cobit and Val IT), Process
Improvement (CMMI-DEV, CMMI ACQ) and Project Management.
Before joining Alcyonix, he worked with SQLI for 7 years
as Project Director and Business Unit Manager and was
responsible of CMMI deployment in the West Agency of
SQLI. Member of SQLI’s CMMI group and responsible for
Quality Assurance, he is an active member of the SQLI
Improvement Plan by performing Scampi B and C
evaluations in the SQLI organization. He is also
advisor for the CMMI ACQ constellation and part of the
multi-references approach. Olivier is a TI graduate of
l’École des Mines in Paris.
