Awareness Sessions on Software Process Improvement for Executives

Your company or organization is not yet fully committed to a disciplined process improvement initiative.  However, your clients are pushing you in that direction by asking you to reveal your process "level of maturity" or to show your improvement plan. Perhaps some clients are showing reluctance to do business with you unless you take quality targeted initiatives using a Best Practice reference framework such as the SEI's ("Software Engineering Institute") CMMI ("Capability Maturity Model Integrated") or the model described in the emerging ISO/CEI 15504 Standard (SPICE).
It is also possible that your specialists, those most aware of market tendencies and the state of the art practices, are presenting you with daring proposals in order to initiate a continuous process improvement plan. All studies show that the clear and continuous commitment from upper management constitutes the key success factor of a software process improvement initiative.  If not already done, your executives should be made aware.

Official SEI Course "Introduction to Capability Maturity Model Integration"

Alcyonix is an official SEI Partner and has several instructors authorized to give the course "Introduction to Capability Maturity Model Integration", in French and English. This course offers participants a good description of the CMMI and its fundamental concepts. The discussions held within the framework of the course put the emphasis on the comprehension of the five maturity levels and their regrouping by sectors (Areas Process). In three days, we describe a framework of good practices that organizations can use to determine their capacity to develop and maintain systems and to obtain an improvement plan. This course is composed of presentations and exercises. It supports participation and discussions between the participants. Moreover, this course prepares the participants to contribute directly to the implementation of the CMMI in their organizations.
